การล้างทำความสะอาดสเตนเลส
สเตนเลส นิยมนำมาทำเป็นอุปกรณ์หรือเครื่องใช้ภายในครัว เช่น หม้อ กระทะ รวมทั้งอ่างล้างจาน ชั้นวาง และท็อปเคาน์เตอร์ครัว ข้อดีคือมีคุณสมบัติทนความร้อนหรือนำความร้อนได้ดี เช็ดล้างทำความสะอาดง่าย ปลอดภัย และไม่เกิดสนิม แต่มักพบปัญหาคราบสกปรกที่กำจัดยาก ซึ่งมีวิธีทำความสะอาดได้ ดังนี้
1. หากพบคราบมันจากอาหารและคราบรอยนิ้วมือ ให้ใช้ฟองน้ำชุบน้ำอุ่นเช็ดบริเวณรอยเปื้อน แล้วล้างออกด้วยน้ำยาล้างจานและน้ำสะอาด จากนั้นใช้ผ้าสะอาดซับให้แห้งสนิท
2. คราบไหม้ดำติดหม้อหรือกระทะ ให้ผสมน้ำส้มสายชูกับน้ำในภาชนะที่เป็นคราบ นำไปตั้งไฟจนเดือด คราบไหม้เหล่านี้ก็จะเริ่มหลุดออก หากไม่หมด ให้นำลงจากเตา แล้วเทเบกกิ้งโซดาผสมน้ำเปล่าตรงรอยไหม้ไว้ครู่หนึ่ง จากนั้นใช้ฟองน้ำ (หลีกเลี่ยงการใช้ฝอยขัดที่มีเส้นใยแข็ง เพราะจะทำให้เครื่องครัวเกิดรอย) และน้ำยาล้างจานขัดทำความสะอาดและเช็ดล้างตามปกติ ก็ช่วยกำจัดคราบดำและกลิ่นเหม็นไหม้ได้ดี วิธีนี้ยังใช้กำจัดคราบด่างขาวจากการต้มน้ำและคราบชากาแฟได้อีกด้วย
